New Year Reopening Update

Happy New Year Members,

St Vital Curling Club is committed to the health and safety of all curlers and spectators. Our efforts to maintain this safety means following every Public Health Order as set out by the Government of Manitoba and also every recommendation by our provincial body, Curl Manitoba. The current Manitoba Public Health Orders as well as Curl Manitoba Guidance allow league curling and practice. We would like to highlight the SVCC measures to keep each player and spectator safe as follows:

  • Spectator capacities reduce to 50 %
  • Come ready to play to reduce time in locker rooms
  • Liquor sales stop at 10 pm
  • Wearing masks when walking around the club and sitting when not eating or drinking
  • Tables in the lounge spaced out
  • Social distancing spots on the ice
  • Hand sanitizer available in the club

We understand that as this 4th wave of COVID spreads we must remain flexible and able to adapt as Health Orders change. We will do our best to inform every curler should anything change. Please follow our Facebook and Instagram pages.

We also understand that some folks may not be comfortable coming out to curl at this time and we respect your decision. As well, if you feel sick, please stay home. Should you default please do your best to let your opposition know in advance – and communicate with your league representative so as the win/loss record sheets remain current.

Our restaurant and lounge remain open and ready to serve you for your enjoyment.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Thanks,

Jason Pruden
